Independent Director

Open to board opportunities for fund, financial services, technology, & non-profit organisations.

What are your qualifications as a director?

For over 25 years, I have served as a fundraiser, advisor and board member to both non-for-profits and financial companies.    In the last ten years, helped establish an Irish Management Company in service to both Irish and Luxembourg fund boards.  Organised board meetings with legal counsel and collaborated on agenda with chair and stakeholders.

For more than 25 years as an executive within global asset management firms - hands-on experience leading product strategy, investment due diligence, vehicle formation, international distribution, investment operations and oversight, board searches, skills assessments, governance reporting, and financial services technology.

For five years authorised to serve control functions; Executive Director PCF-1, Chief Executive Officer PCF-8, and Head of Distribution Oversight PCF-39E roles. In 2023 earned the Sustainable Investing Certificate from the CFA Institute.  In 2024 earned the Chartered Investment Fund Director (CIFD) qualification from the Irish Institute of Bankers (IOB).

What are your experiences within Ireland and Europe generally?

Focused on serving investors and boards to European funds for more than 25 years; beginning with Luxembourg in 1997, Cayman in 2005, and Ireland 2007.

Most recently serving in board, product, sales and ops leadership roles developing, promoting and operating Irish public and private funds.  Based in Dublin since 2019.

Completed European industry training including ESG Sustainability Certificate from CFA, annual KYC/AML, MiFID (both UK and EU), CP86 Management Company, Individual Accountability Regime (SEAR), Distribution Designated Person, Private Funds / AIFMD.

Honored to have served alongside some of the most talented leaders in world-class financial firms; globally headquartered in US, Canada, and France.  In each instance, with a focus to develop or extend their presence in Europe and cross-border investing.

What is your approach to the boardroom?

Listen.  Consider.  Prepare.   Collaborate.

  • Listening to stakeholders and fellow board members to understand their context and priorities.
  • Considering the company's clients and strategic ambition in balance with the day-to-day challenges in meeting regulatory guidelines.
  • Preparing questions and feedback in advance to ensure a smooth and effective board meeting.
  • Collaborating with leadership -- providing support in and outside the board meeting, advocating for the fund and firm where needed, and leveraging my broad network across US, Europe and Asia.
